RM5 Restoration Project
All side panels are carefully removed to start RM 5 refurbishment.
For the last twelve months, RM5 from the Heritage Fleet has been under going a complete refurbishment. The project is nearing completion and Arriva are delighted to announce that the first public outing in it’s new finish will be at the 48th Annual HCVS London to Brighton run on Sunday 3rd May 2009.
The brief for the refurbishment specified a return to its original condition, or as near as possible, to when it first came into service 50 years ago on route 8b.
RM 5 work review for restoration - corroded floor needs replacing.
