Sing London - Dayo on the Busso

From June 29th to July  8th 2007,  London will be singing!  In theatres, cafes, museums, public piazzas, shops, libraries, schools, and even swimming baths! Sing London is a new festival  to unite the city in song: all kinds of people singing all kinds of music, in all kinds of places.

Sing London 's promotional film was shot by pop director Matt Maude in an Arriva Heritage Fleet Routemaster Bus, branded by CBS Outdoor.  The promo shows a bus load of  (initially reluctant) passengers being brought together in song by an enthusiastic bus conductor. He wants them to learn the Calypso song Day - can a bus load of Londoners sing on the bus or are they simply too embarrassed?

The festival is delivered in association with the Mayor of London and BBC London and brings together over 100 events to get the city singing.  From the Science of Singing (the Science Museum ) to Sing Freedom Songs ( British Museum )  to Masterclasses with Fame Academy Coaches  (Roundhouse) to Sing Jazz ( the Jazz Cafe) to Songs of London ( Museum of London ) there will be something for everyone.
